Cost of Safari – TBA as we are still hunting down better deals but are working to be improving on rough estimates of $7950 per person. Deposit: $500 per person (non-refundable) Dates & Pricing Notes Prices are per person based on double occupancy (4 pax) of vehicles and are given in AUD Dollars. Should you not want to share, your costs will increase substantially.

Location of Adventure – South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Group Size Limit per Vehicle 4 pax with Approximately 16 – 20 Travellers A very important feature of this safari is the small group size, as African safaris are best experienced with fewer travellers in order to enhance intimate wildlife encounters. This group is predominantly from military backgrounds.
Hired Specialised 4×4 Ford Ranger (or similar)

An essential element of this safari is the hiring of specialised 4×4 vehicles, facilitating unmatched wildlife viewing opportunities. Typically, we use decked out, closed Land Rover Defenders – however due to keeping us within budget we will be using decked out 4×4 Ford Ranger (or similar), designed to maximise wildlife viewing opportunities and comfort over the sometimes uneven terrain of Botswana and Zimbabwe’s bush and delta environs.

These vehicles have 5 cushioned passenger seats – one in front next to the driver, followed by one row of three seats – though we limit our capacity to just 4 travellers per vehicle, allowing each traveller a window seat.

Included in Cost
International flights (unless self-arranged), accommodations, airport transfers, vehicle hire, gratuities, all permits (Camping, National Park Entry per person and per vehicle fees)
**Fuel has been estimated into the cost – but funds have not been transferred as this cost is for each vehicle

Not Included in Cost
Food, Gratuities, Drinks, Alcohol, Passport and visa fees (Border Crossings), optional activities e.g. Activities in Cape Town i.e. Table Mountain Cable Cars, White Water Rafting Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls Entry, etc., items of a personal nature (phone calls, souvenirs, etc.), excess airline baggage fees, optional travel insurance, and required (for pre-existing conditions) medical evacuation insurance. Hire vehicle insurance and fuel.

Physical Requirements

Moderate to Difficult

Whilst there is no strenuous activity involved during this safari, a safari vehicle frequently offers a bumpy ride and setting up camp can become tedious. Wildlife drives often involve long hours of sitting and sometimes bouncing around. While we don’t consider this strenuous, it can be uncomfortable and pose a particular type of physical demand on the body (back & hips). All travellers must be able to climb into and out of the raised 4×4 trucks and up the ladders to their roof top tent and claustrophobia is not an option.

An important element of the Delta portion of the trip is the dry and sandy/dusty conditions, as this is a semi desert environment.

We recommend that all travellers have an adventurous spirit, as they will often enjoy the closest animal encounters.

We will be camping in UN-FENCED camp sites where there will be an assortment of nightly visitors.

Difficult to Very Strenuous

White Water rafting (optional activity) – US$150 per person
Gorge Swing
Canoeing

Important Information about This Trip

On this trip we have combined the highlights of Cape Town, Botswana and Zimbabwe within one ultimate safari itinerary. We recommend this trip for clients who want to make the most out of their limited number of trips to Africa – we travel from bush to delta!

Mandatory Insurance

Since the areas we travel to on this trip are remote and wild (that’s why we go there!), we encourage medical evacuation insurance for your safety especially for pre-existing conditions. We request that you send us documentation of the independent coverage you have selected which will be kept in the lead vehicle and one other at all times.
